This Privacy Policy explains how RefundMate ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the RefundMate mobile application ("App").
RefundMate is designed to help users record and organise work-related expenses, receipts and other information for personal record keeping and tax preparation purposes.

RefundMate does not require you to create an account in order to use the core expense-tracking functionality of the App.

3. Data Storage
Expense records and other information entered into RefundMate are stored locally on your device as part of the App's functionality.
We do not operate a service that requires your expense records to be uploaded to our servers for normal use of the App.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of information stored on your device.
4. Receipt Images
If you choose to add photographs or images of receipts, those images are used to help you maintain your expense records.
Receipt images are stored as part of the App's local data unless you choose to share or export them using functionality provided by your device or the App.
5. Advertising
RefundMate may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising services.
Advertising providers may collect certain information from your device for purposes such as delivering, measuring or personalising advertisements, subject to their own privacy policies and applicable laws.
We do not sell your personal information.
If advertising services are used in the App, their collection and use of information is governed by the privacy policies of those providers.

If analytics services are used in future versions of RefundMate, they may collect limited technical or usage information to help us understand App performance and improve the user experience.

RefundMate is distributed through third-party platforms, including the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Apple and Google may independently collect information when you download, purchase, update or otherwise interact with the App through their respective platforms.
Their respective privacy policies apply to information they collect independently.

RefundMate is not specifically directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers.

We take reasonable steps to design RefundMate with privacy and security in mind.
However, no electronic storage system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting access to your device, including using appropriate device security such as a passcode, biometric authentication or other available security features.
12. Your Choices
You can control the information you enter into RefundMate. You can also remove locally stored information by using the App's available deletion functionality or by removing the App and its associated local data from your device, subject to your device's operating-system behaviour.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to RefundMate, applicable laws or the services used by the App.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date shown at the top of this page.
14. Tax Disclaimer
RefundMate is a record-keeping and expense-tracking application. It does not provide financial, accounting or tax advice.
RefundMate is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) or any Australian government agency.
Information displayed by the App should not be considered a guarantee that an expense is deductible or that you are entitled to a particular tax refund.
Users should check the current requirements of the Australian Taxation Office or consult a qualified tax professional when necessary.
